Funny Blogs

Everyone is very interested in humor which of course, doesn't take Einstein to figure out the magnetic side for anyone to indulge in giving themselves a good laugh.
In fact, even blogs with a great sense of humor attract more traffic than plain and routine old blogs.

I myself am a fan of several bloggers; and of course of the famous celebrity blogger; Kenny Sia
His posts are enticing and hilarious and I must take my hat off to this creative fellow for making blogs popularly known.

Everyone is starting to imitate his style in blogging; in order to attract more readers but me, I stick to my old-blog-it-out-what-i-thought-on-the-spot style.
Not to say his style was not natural, I am actually looking at the number of blogs following in his footsteps and also, trying to hard to emulate the famous blog.

However, isn't blog all about being original and also your personal space?
Blog is your personal channel to air your opinions and ideas and it may be humourous or not; it could be sad, happy, angry, anything - the key point is being yourself.

One Kenny Sia is good, the rest, we should be unique and populate a diversified blogger nation!

Thou hath thy foundeth

I am really happieeeee today!

Not just because I have packed most of my stuffs from my office but also because I found the black document bag I allegedly lost.

Yes, miracles do happen and I strongly believe in the power of that and of HE who rules above.

You will not believe it until you experience it and I am a definitely a believer!:)

I misplaced my black document bag on Monday in my Kulim office and I realized it only at the end of the day! I was frantically searching high and low for it and left the office to avoid the bridge traffic with a really heavy heart:(
I was in Penang on Tuesday and my mind was already running all sorts of mental pictures of what if's (someone took the bag, it was misplaced elsewhere, I will never see it again, etc).

And I was praying hard that I will find the bag...
(Okay, you may think I am over-exaggerating over a black document bag that contains nothing but network and lock cables and a CD, but seriously, I will cry even for a small button:(

When I reached the Kulim office in the morning, I went to the security post and again, walked away disappointed since no such item was reported.
Then I decided to give it one last shot and went to all the meeting rooms...and guess what, I FOUND it lying beneath the table surface!!

Now isn't that a miracle? I have already gone through those rooms endless times...
I LOVE GOD!!
PRAISE THE LORD!:)
Thank you thank you so much....*relieved*!

Parental inconvenience?

I read with much aghast and distress on the recent kidnapping case of the young girl, Sharlinie who was allegedly found missing from her playing area; the playground in front of her house.
There were mixed feelings when I first read that; alarmed and sad that yet another girl had been abducted by goodness-knows-who and wondering goodness-knows-what they had done to her.
Secondly, I was really angered as well by the fact that parents have yet again been found guilty of the negligence imposed on watching out for their own kids.
A short distance away from home means OUT of sight and AWAY from home, and haven't we been through this several times since the past few cases?
I don't get what is so confusing about the clear statement posted by these abductors and why parents are putting their young offspring at this risk, again and AGAIN!

It is so disheartening to know that parents regard lightly the distance of their kids from them.

Yesterday I was at the church and even the parish priest mentioned, do not leave your kids unattended.
He was referring to the young children waiting by the roadside outside the church after Sunday cathecism classes for their parents to pick them up.
He strictly emphasized on the notion that all children are to be inside the school canteen and that parents should not slack on making the turn into the compound to collect their "precious packages".
If they find it inconvenient, they will need to pass a note to inform the adults to have an older teen accompany the younger ones to the gate.

I find this word intriguing; convenient?
Since when is parental duties bounded by convenience?
Perhaps this explain all the risks they have themselves created by letting their children out of their sight... due to inconvenience of watching over them?

I am not indicating nor imposing more grief or hurt here; nor am I pointing finger at any party over negligence; I understand the overwhelming guilt and conscience battle which must be killing the parents every night.
However, I am trying to state a point that is important and the key to curb all these cases; or even make it challenging (or almost impossible) for a kid (regardless of boy or girl) to disappear under our noses!
I remembered how protective my mum was over me when I was a little girl; everyone said how overprotective or over-reactive she is in not allowing me to go out to buy stuffs or wait at the main road without company.
My mum was pointed by everyone that she is being dramatic, etc and that it was all in exaggeration.
My mum took no heed in whatever everyone says and told me that it may mean a minute to everyone but it all takes less than a minute for someone to grab and speed off in the car.
And that, my friends, the 1 minute of avoiding inconvenience will be a lifetime of pain and regret.

I hope that everyone will not regard inconvenience; particularly when it comes to children lightly....

IT Giants coming to KL

ICT Olympics coming soon to KL?
Big names, Bill Gates (Microsoft founder) and Craig Barrett (Intel CEO- EX, actually) will be making their appearances, thus the term the IT giants will be attending the congress as described by the papers.

When you talk about the giants, of course I know it is being made in reference to their standard and the size of the company and also their influence in the market!
However, mental pictures led me to think of all the Giants in such a way

Giants are tech savvy too these days, gone were those pre-civilization days!

Christian books confisticated??

I am not sure what is the real article about but the short article with its title drew my attention to it when it mentioned that several books; or to be specific, Christian books were confisticated from MPH.
The reason?
Because it contains pictures of Moses and Noah...

However, it was reported that these books have been returned to the bookstore.

No offense, but I find it not only weird but seriously humiliating to withdraw religious books from the shelves just because of alleged religious illustrations.
I really do not know what is the problem; anyone mind enlightening me on this matter?

When the cat is let out the bag...

Do you find it hard to keep a secret?

I often wonder what is it with people and the art of keeping secrets; or even one tiny little secret...

Have you noticed that when you tell someone something, they tend not to be so perky until you mention the word, "It's a secret, hush, don't tell anyone" and then they start to sit up...

Well, sitting up is not it....best part is when you start hearing word spreads about your so little "secret"....

And the more people whom you have told, you can be rest assured that the whole world will "know" your no-longer "secret"....

I am definitely one person who is clearly in the opposition of this; I think of myself a pretty safe secret-keeper...no kidding, I can seal my lips so tight that no matter what you lure me to say, it will never be out...:D
*You can try your luck if you want to:)

How about you?
Are you a keeper or a blurt-it-all?

Scotch-ed Car

Spotted this car last weekend in the afternoon; driving around Penang town...
It was taped from the top of the car with Scotch tape; wondering what is it that the owner is trying to hold?

The strength of faith

Did you ever know that faith is a strong component by itself?
The most important is to learn to believe....

The power to believe and the strength to hold steadfast to your belief....is FAITH.

Only YOU have that ability and power to believe in yourself...

Boss ain't right

I recently had an interesting conversation with a colleague and we were talking about the number of people leaving the company (and also other people leaving their companies, etc) and it was interesting to see the culture of job-hopping.

One of the thing she noted was very interesting;
Sometimes, the situation is highly dependent on the boss (direct supervisor)
You may like to work in the company or even the office and the peers are friendly, but if your boss doesn't treat you well; life's just as miserable....

(Agree)

Think of it this way, if you can't get along with your boss; or if you think your boss holds prejudice against you, can you see career growth or good opportunities along your way?

(Agree)

Guess one of the most important factor is the boss....
besides salary, company, peers, job satisfaction, location, etc......
So tell me, do you Love or Hate your boss?:D

Hmmmm....

Was thinking on whether to post about my work after the preceding booming wishes....
On the other hand, maybe not....I should calm down, relax and enjoy the new year......(trying to ignore the frustration ringing everywhere)

Wu sa....wu sa......
And be HAPPY!!:D:D

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!

After the Loud Honking New Year, I just realized that I haven't posted anything on wishing everyone a Happy New Year since we said hello to 2008:p
I have been busy with my work and seriously stressed out...yeah, talk about a great start:p

But to be positive, I certainly believe that this year is going to be a GREAT and booming year for me!!:D
I have always loved the start of the year....and also the end of the year; for Christmas, holidays, New Year and of course, my very own special day.....it's just so joyous to have them in a chain!!

And for all of you out there as well.....HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!!:D

May you all get what you wish for and BETTER in this auspicious and GREAT year:D

Honked a Police Car

I left my Kulim office at a good time yesterday to avoid the traffic on the bridge and the whole journey was smooth.
Even the bridge was really clear when I arrived at the toll booths and keeping to the SmartTag lane on the right with all the cones to disintegrate this lane from the other lanes, I was breezing past until I reached the bridge and there was this black jeep which swerved itself into my lane (on its left is another car) and this black jeep just tried to swerve in without heeding the danger of banging my car.
Needless to say, I honked at the driver and turned to look at the driver or the car when I saw these words on the driver's door
"POLIS BANTUAN"

@_@...Oh NO!
I honked a Police car!!!:O (BIG O)

Anyway, he got in after that and kept to his left lane driving slowly and obediently behind the other cars.
I took down his number plate in case and even another car's number behind me in case of anything (you know, at least, I have an eye-witness)

Sighs.....I had to start the new year with a LOUD HONK...and at the country's law enforcer nevertheless....UGH!
Do pray for me...

Uncle's Wedding

My youngest uncle finally wedded during Christmas season 2007; in fact his wedding day was on Christmas Eve itself.
Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com

I am posting from the eve of Bachelors' Night to the Bachelor's Night and finally to his wedding day itself; all done in the traditional Chinese custom and superstitions since they observe the rites of Taoism; different from us where we are faithful Catholics:)

2 Days before his Wedding day, there was this ceremony to invite the deceased ancestors for a simple dinner and to inform them of the joyous occasion which is to take place.
