Haze is back...

It's there...I know it, it's just there....nobody wanted to believe me...
I can smell it; it's evil.....and that explains why I have been so restless these days....
Furthermore, my skin and nose are so sensitive that I can just sense and smell it....and it's really affecting me...it's so hard to breathe and my health's not really great either....skin allergies and nose allergies.....
I think I am not in my best looks; more like crappy looks these days....

Go AWAY.....you're no good....
Nobody's believing me...
They think I am out of my mind...
And then, yesterday the radio announced the API reading again....
See...I told you...it's definitely back and I HOPE, not for good!!
Everyone out there...take care...and believe me, there's haze out there

Viral fever...

I was on MC for the last few days; down with the fever....
Talking about health, I am usually very careful with fever; as I have this tendency of marking very high temperatures....
I haven't had fever for some time now; which is definitely a great thing but this was one rebound and I was really taken by surprise...
Initially I went to see the doc for the discomfort I felt on my hand; suspected some ergonomics (RSI related issues) due to my long hours with the computer, etc.
Anyway, I soon felt heat and was really uncomfortable....and on Monday morning, I couldn't go to work; body temperature was kinda hot....and I thought, hey, I can be back to work on Tuesday and then no...finally yesterday I got myself to work.
When I reached the office, I was like, darn, this is too cold but I forced myself to continue working although I felt temperature was rising.
Actually I was given MC until yesterday(inclusive) but I just felt bad of being on sick leave for so many days that I couldn't bear to ask my boss for another day off.
However, my fever was really bogging me and then finally, I asked my boss for half-day to go home to rest.
My boss was mild about it and told me to rest more...it was a relief...:)
Anyway, I am better now...and I have my paracetamol with me...just in case....

I remembered that I'd go for a blood test if my fever pursues:p
I guess it's due to the weather; or maybe other related factors....
My doctor almost shocked me when he told me there could be 2 reasons (when I returned for the 2nd visit); one was due to the viral infection and the second, pox!!
No no no!!!
Anyway, he ruled that out as he mentioned that the appearance of the spots would trigger the rest, and if it is really pox, there will be spots appearing all over the body within 24 hours of the first spotted pox.

So, everyone, just take good care of your health; drink more water and take care of your body:)

Ergonomics...NO Joke

I am not sure how many of you out there are aware of ergonomics terminology and also the definition of it...
It's basically, a disorder which can come from your environment (work, home, sitting position, etc) which can lead to major discomfort.
For IT folks, I am sure you guys have heard of the disorder called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome...which affects the nerve from the wrist and the hand, etc...causing a tingling or burning sensation at the stages.
This is no joke; I have done a presentation sharing in one of my staff meetings to talk about the ergonomics related issues and disorders and also recommended remedies or workouts to relax ourselves after long hours in the same position or bending our wrist at an awkward position ....I will share on more of this in my blog soon...don't wanna scare you out of nothing...
But those who are exposed to the computer, typing for long hours are at risk...and if your jobs require you to be in one position for a long time....
And hey, if you think this is a small thing, think again, because this can cause major dysfunction in your body and limbs....no joke!
I am feeling worried too...recently I also experienced discomfort...hope everything's fine:S

Allergic to my own house?

Yesterday wasn't really the best day...like I said, earlier in the morning, I had to travel "overseas" twice! (Really a damage to petrol consumption and mileage).
Secondly, I had sore eye....and had to ask permission from my boss to go check at the doc (no fooling around with eye matters).
Last week I had a sore left eye and this week; my right eye.
I asked the doctor and it was the haze; the main culprit which is causing my nose allergies which led to my eye as well ( why am I so sensitive???)

So, I then proceeded to ask him a couple more of "I don't get-it" questions
How come I have never had this inconvenience before this?
I have always been sensitive to the surroundings/haze but it's usually the skin or nose...
Okay, let me ask you a simple question...is your office undergoing any renovation?
Ermm....none that I know of...
Okay...
Oooohhhh, but the place where I am staying; there's lots of renovation going around....
It's a new area and most of the units are undergoing renovation before occupation
Aaaahhhhhh (the knowing ahs...)
That's the reason....
Huh?
The pollution and dust are the aggravating factors....
And since you are hypersensitive, top it off with the weather and the daily environment, you are the unfortunate victim of the consequences....
................
If you move out of that place, trust me, you will get better....
Huh?
I know, easier said than done...so, you will need to take good care and let's treat your nose allergies and some simple eye drops to treat the discomfort at the moment....
Okay, thanks doctor...

Hmmmmmmmm....so I AM allergic to my own house right now?
Sighs....what's the world to come when A House is not a home anymore....sad*:(
