Once upon a night in Bethlehem

Once upon a time, in a little town called Bethlehem, a child was born in the stables.
He was our Lord, Jesus Christ...the son of God...who came to redeem us and wash away our sins.
That was all about Christmas......(just some un-posted entries on Christmas).
This year or last year; as I have repeatedly mentioned (*hyperactively*) in my blog, I was home for Christmas.....it is always a time for family and loved ones:)

The best part was not just about being with family, but one of my most looked forward agenda during this festive season was the decorations, the spirit and of course, the religious part - attending the mailto:vigil@ Christmas mass!!!
Typically, there are only 2-3 midnight masses that I know in a year - Christmas, Easter (another of my favourite occasion) and also New Year:)
Christmas is always the most merry of the lot!!!..
Going for the Christmas Eve mass is always fun and endearing as I get to meet up with all my pals....hehehe.....
And this year was good as I did see a couple of them....(really felt so good to be back..*smiles*); good friend UncleChan, Liew, HotChick Jes, Bjorn, and those I don't see on frequent scale; Fabian and another pleasant surprise, Michelle!!! Now this gal; I haven't seen her in ages and before I could take a photo with her, she was already gone! *Sighs*
All was so Christmassy.....these are just a couple of photos I have of my Church simple decoration...
As usual, every year, they set up this crib/manger for the baby Jesus....

Look at this; before the mass (before midnight), the crib was empty....

After mass, baby Jesus was born!!!~

So peaceful and nice....~Silent night, holy night.....all is calm,....~

Christmas Tree.....
Merry merry Christmas....rejoice for Christ is born....Joy to the World!!!

Letter for FareWell???

Hahaha...after a week's break, I came back to work yesterday to be greeted by tonnes of emails and loads of stuffs to follow up on....*sighs*
Do remind me not to take off for more than 1 day next time....even MC needs to be limited by the 1-day period:p
Anyway, as I was browsing through my emails....I saw a couple of emails from people who were leaving the company and just decided to send out a farewell note to the entire department to notify people of their departure.
There is one letter which totally intrigued me...and mind, this is from someone I know...and also somewhat related or indirectly mentioned in my previous entries....
This lady wrote a short one-paragraph farewell note to mention her last day in the company and also on her thoughts.....the best part was she thanked someone else rather than her own mentor or the main people who brought her to who she is today; in her position.
In fact, she was so specific to only remember this single one person that I must say I am truly impressed by her gratitude to this person that she could forget her roots.
No criticsms intended here; I do know that she has a problem with those people I mentioned; her peers and also the folks who were her mentors and guide (excluding the one she remembered).
However, on a positive note, I just personally feel that no matter how spiteful we are at the person or how we perceive the person is treating us, I still think that being civil about it is better and especially when you are intending the letter to like almost half the department?
Also, despite those people who mistreated you (0r so as you think/perceive in your thoughts), and that they were the cause of your misery, don't they have anything good or have helped you in those early days? Else, how did you work with them for so many years? Did they killed you right from the start? If so, do you think you are able to be in the position unharmed all this while?
Furthermore, these are people in charge; they have the power and if they do want to even do anything, it's just as easy as squeezing an ant with their little finger.
Don't you think that directing your obvious hatred by "intentionally" forgot to mention those superior people makes you look just plain silly?
I don't know about the rest of the world out there; but in my opinion, right or wrong is just a matter of perception.
Furthermore, holding a grudge or hatred is not good for yourself as well....yeah, it's not easy to just bury the hatchet like that...BUT, at least, just, for goodness sake, "pretend" to be civil and show your professionalism.
Wonder how can one go far when they cannot see the good in one person and only always dwell on the bad.
To me, no matter how negative someone or something is, there's bound to be something good.
Even if he was just a plain evil villain, somehow, they still have the small side of humanity in them.....
As the Chinese saying goes; "Even a broken down boat has at least 3 nails in it" (to hold the boat; otherwise, it's just planks and wood).....
It's a good thought.....

Old Friends gathering:)

How could a trip back to KL home be complete without hanging out with the cool guys and hot gals around? I mean...KL is supposedly famed for the "COOL" people....haha, city folks or so they say...where the other folks from other states in Malaysia often term and label us as the city snobs and call us snooty people, having our noses up in the air.
Hey, that is actually a prejudiced statement as bestie and I conceptualize our theory in high school....they just envy that KL is more happening....and by the way, KL is not all about snobbish and haughty people...there's loads of Cool and nice people out there too....and these are not just COOL in appearance but also by their attitude and persona...and I am proud to say these are my pals, my cool friends....whom I have known for ages.....
Bestie mentioned in her blog as well that she couldn't wait for the party; which she and my old-time friend organized together:)
Well...what should I say? I was looking forward to the trip as well:p
Perhaps just following her trend, I should also use their nicknames in my blog huh? *winks*

My old friend....yeah, Standard One friend, Bjorn aka KudiKaran (I have no idea where this nick came from:p ) is home for Christmas.
He was away in Australia...yeah, for his aeronautical studies....our future pilot:)
And, I haven't seen him for like a year.....he's the generous guy who offered to bring us to the pool in his new condo in *whistle* Desa Park City (the new cool city for the rich and the famous)....*grins*:)
This is the Christmas tree in Bjorn's place...haha, a 2.5m tall- and it's a real Christmas fir tree....cool:)
And this is his dog.....

Auntie still remembers me....and she's always nice....:)

In case you're wondering what am I doing taking all these pics, well, I am into photography and also, I just love taking loads of pics to safekeep them for future memories...haha...at least, I remembered I was so free waiting for the rest and took these pics:p

Then there's Julius aka Jujus....some name they gave him while in Langkawi (the trip I missed...awwww)....long time friend....ironically, we were both in the same uni but we never met, honestly, I was the only one among all my friends in the uni who hasn't seen Ju around.....*smacks forehead*

Then of course, how can I forget bestie and the gals who came half an hour late? *winks mischievously* :P
Hahaha.....we loaded all the stuffs into the cars; our beloved organizers; bestie and Bjorn both drove us to the condo.
A pic of his towering condo...it's not that towering but just a metaphorical way to say it since I was standing on the ground..haha:)
I tried taking a nice pic; but too bad, my photography skills are not good enough and they came out dark....bummer....bro needs to guide me to adjust the cam to take better and nicer pics *winks*
Once we get to the pool, that's where everyone started tucking in....bestie made some food as well....and she burnt her finger...poor gal.

LaydieBug: I am so NOT meant for the kitchen!
Jes and Esther: Wait till your future husband hears this....
Angelstar: Well, there's always something called Restaurants

*LaydieBug exchanges a hi-5 slap with Angelstar*
LaydieBug: My Bestest friend....
*Laughs*....right back at ya, LaydieBug!

Everyone is tucking into the food....
A shot of the food....well, that was what's left....the pizza's gone...haha; there's actually 2 Pizzas; one Barbeque Chicken and the other; I can't really remember what was that:p
Chatting session and they were making fun and giving our HotChick (Jes) a hard time over something...aaaa...I am definitely not gonna tell you and embarass one of my good friends (she's also like one of my besties:) here:P
Laid back and relaxed....and everyone kept mentioning how quiet I was...sorry guys, I was always a bore...*sighs*
Anyway, soon everyone wanted a dip into the pool and bestie wanted to talk to me when suddenly, with my very own eyes, she was carried and flung into the pool.....awwww.....
POOR poor poor bestie...but at least, she knows how to swim:)
There goes our bestie catching up session:p
But hey, say Cheese...still manage to look so cool after that...isn't she hot? Haha:)
Jes aka HotChick is still relaxing....
EmoQueen (wondered where did that come from as well; don't recall Esther was such an emotional person:p ) was the next to hop into the pool.
Nice pic of the two poolside gals....
More of my Hot gal friends.....Geri(Geraldine didn't turn up due to something else she had to attend to)
So sad...and I was so hoping to see that cute gal:)
Anyway....my hot friends....doing some threesome thing.
They fell on each other the first time...and this time, they did better......
should start learning from those cheerleader troups.....good idea; LaydieBug, think about it...haha, the Water Cheers:)
Hahaha....they do so want to get me into the pool...and I know, Angelstar's being such a spoilsport for not joining or wading by the poolside....SORRY....
But I do so want to take pics and also I don't really like water...especially pool.
I can bear the sea...but pool, call it hydro phobia or pool phobia...but Angelstar's always rather reserved to go near the pool...hahaha...especially when I am with this crazy bunch of old friends...they'd do ANYTHING and I mean anything to throw me into the pool....and somehow I get sick easily, I am such a weakie; no kidding...so, don't really wanna get sick.
I had to protect bro's cam which I really need for my trip back home and also for Christmas....and I really don't wanna get wet....sorry bestie and all of you....I know I am being such a spoilsport...SORRY again!
Ahahaha....another spoilsport of me....refused the beer:p
Nah...this is my preference...don't be mad lar.....
Look at how fierce this guy is when I am being a spoilsport?:P
Haha *kidding*; this's my OLD friend; future pilot *winks*
Remember to bring us for a quick flight.....
And look at this; a whole carton of Tiger....they do love beer.....I think someone mentioned scotch and I really saw Bjorn holding a bottle of Chivas....reminds me of my ex-colleagues last time....always brings along a bottle of Chivas Regal..last round when my ex-supervisor organized a poolside party by her condo as well...:D
The guys....Best brothers forever.....Tiger, anyone?
And the gals...
Group pic:)
After the swim, they are getting hungry...hahaha...moved all the food to the poolside...enjoying your food, gal? *winks*
I had to leave soon after....before I got the chance to see Dr. Liew....sighhhh...why lar so late? But never mind, he's in Penang and we know each other's existence on the island...hahaha...
this is another good and fun guy....really one of the nicest guys I know as well....coool!
Anyway, it was one good poolside party and I enjoyed the fun and rowdy group...yeah, I know, I am the bored and quiet one...but really, you guys certainly didn't bore me.
I really missed all of you...and it was good to be around my FRIENDs....real friends who treat me friendly.....I still do MISS all of you...and I mean it....sorry if I was such a spoilsport or if you guys were offended....
But I am really proud, happy and touched to have all of you as my friends....and that you guys still are my friends...
Unhappy clouds pass by once in a while but you guys are the bright skies and rainbow who comes to remind me....and I really missed all of you lots.....
It's been a GREAT and you guys RAWKS!!!
Thanks Bestie for inviting and organizing this!
Thanks Bjorn for being a great host!! And your girlfriend is cool! :)
Thanks Ju for the catching up talk and also the exchanging of the stories since we last left school(that was the last time we met:p )
Thanks Esther for coming around and making me laugh...
Thanks Jes...for being protective over me when they wanted me to drink the alcohol mixed with fruit juice:) Love ya lots...muackkks....and may God bless you...(*God always blesses Jes anyway...*winks*)
To end this, just a pic with my oldest friend.....have a safe trip back to Aus!! And will always remember my Std 1 Bakawali pal!!
Too bad didn't have personal pics with bestie and also Jes....next time lar:)
Look forward for the next gathering...erm...can we have in another place next round?
Hehehe...kidding...just want to see you guys....
Take care...keep in touch and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007 to all of you!!!

Trip back home...

I was back in KL for Christmas and I had a great ride...thanks to my good friend from Penang...Pamalite Kensington...hehe; that's his nickname:)
We left Penang after work on Friday; the 22nd (yeah, 3 days before Christmas).

We had a breezy and smooth trip...look, I was so cheerful that day that I took pics to show you how clear the traffic was:)

That is; before we came to a crawl as we approach the tunnel or the hilly area towards Ipoh:(
Didn't know what caused it and we tried to reason that it was probably due to some kind of accident....
Whoa....one lane was closed in the tunnel...and that's the culprit.... sighhh...causing the jam and traffic stress and anxiety for nothing.......
Anyway, it was a smooth trip after that....happy happy back to KL :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

AULD LANG SYNE......
Goodbye 2006 and HELLO 2007......
2006 has indeed brought lots of good and also bad memories...but let's wipe them away, store them in a big chest and be happy:)
As usual there's always those street parties...me? I didn't really party my way like the others to usher in my New Year or go for countdown galas...it's just Angelstar with her own New Year celebration....:)
As far as I know, most of my friends also do not really crowd in with those parties but they have their own countdown parties:)
Anyway, whatever it is, I am sure everyone had a nice celebration one way or another....so,
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you out there!!!!
Have a blast of a New Year......good luck in whatever you do; be it studies, business, work, blah blah blah....just have a GREAT and most importantly HAPPY year....

Taiwan Earthquake - Disruption in Network

Awww.....a disaster hit again...at the end of the year....so, what's new?
This round, Malaysia has her problems to deal with as well - flood in Johor, Mat Rempit problems, etc etc.

The Taiwan earthquake was indeed a disaster; endangering not just the lives of the people but also, the virtual world.
Yeah....if you read about it or even heard of it in the news, the earthquake caused a major disruption;hmmmm....I should use a more impacting word - it basically paralyzes the entire virtual community....no emails, no googling, no downloading and worse still, no blogging....BAD news for keen writers/bloggers like me:(
And it doesn't help when they tell us that it takes 3 weeks to repair the cables.....3 WEEKS??!!!!
Even 3 days is bad.....and Angelstar has so much to write about for all her blogs and she just got those pics from the old HDD back home.....sighhhh....wrong timing:((
*Anyway, I guess I am not the worst hit since there's others out there who truly rely on their Internet for assignments. Furthermore, my connection is not that good at home anyway...so.....not allowed to pout and complain:P*
I ignored the Internet disruption services in a short while though I was worried whether it will affect our office network and whether I will be able to get my work done....hehehe.....
Anyway, I soon forgot about it and truly enjoyed my time with parents and friends...

Then a blog entry published in the Star caught my attention....this guy/gal won the RM50 for the astounding and may I say, impressive remark on the Taiwan earthquake:)
The writer mentioned that he/she was disgusted by the Malaysians' reaction towards the earthquake that befell Taiwan; saying that Malaysians were not even concerned nor bothered about the welfare and well-being of the victims but rather, they were more worried about not being able to access their email, blogging, and complaining about the slow access and cursing as well.
The worst and ashamed to say this was our fellow Malaysians were actually complaining the slow loading of the Internet which disrupted their downloading of movies, mp3s and PORN!!!!
Gosh....that was really SAD...and I must say, it triggered the guilt in me although I only had a short momentary worry about the disruption in the service.
However, I do agree that the society is getting more self-centered these days....sad but true....and this has led to several social issues....okay, I am not gonna indulge myself in essay writing nor documentary articles but I do want to talk about the Mat Rempit issue in one of my coming entries.

Anyway, this will be a good reflection, that we should not just see the picture of us not being able to do something, but rather, take some time to think of those who are less fortunate compared to us....
Let us pray for the Taiwanese victims who suffered the physical pain of the earthquake.....
